Information on Classes

If you've ever thought of exploring your own artistic talents, Betty offers oil painting classes at Sugarstone Studio on an on-going basis.  Betty's instruction focuses on the fundamentals, with emphasis placed on understanding how relative value, color and edges affect your work. 

The high degree of personal attention given to each student makes these 
classes suitable for a beginner, as well as, an advanced student.  So, whether 
new to oil painting or a seasoned student, Betty has lots to offer.  Students 
are given ample opportunity to practice their skills in the studio, as well as 
"en plein-air" at a variety of locations near and far, as time and schedules permit. 
 

A recent class traveled to Taos, New Mexico, where the natural beauty and mystery of the land combine with the imagination of countless artists throughout history, helping to inspire Betty's students to reach their highest potential.
