"I
have always been creative and find the process of
oil painting to be more challenging and satisfying
than anything I have done. Growing up in New York
City developed my longing to experience natural
beauty, and summers in the Catskill Mountains of New
York State increased that desire."
"I paint semi-abstract interpretations of the
essence of what I
see, rather than it's details; and I'm fascinated with
the qualities of light moving across a subject,
whether it's a still-life object or a landscape.
My
goal is to engage viewers in a personal process
of 'seeing' my image, as it combines with
their own recognitions and interpretations. I want my work
to invoke pleasure."
